This course is not your average 12-Lead competency review. Expect to learn things you have never even heard of before, and take your knowledge on rhythm strips and 12, 15, and 18-Lead ECG's to the next level.

This course will start with cardiac A&P and basic rhythm review, before quickly diving into the nuts and bolts of 12-lead interpretation, trouble-shooting, and helpful tips. Some of the topics to be covered will include:

-Electrolyte abnormalities;

-STEMI/NSTEMI vs OMI/NOMI;

-Sgarbossa and Smith Modification for identification of OMI/STEMI underlying LBBB or ventricular-paced rhythms;

-Criteria for diagnosing acute vs chronic LBBB in the field;

-Criteria for diagnosis STEMI/OMI underlying LVH;

-STEMI/OMI-equivalent conditions that must go to the cath lab, and many of the mimics out there; 

Much, much more!

A group practice session consisting of quick-evaluation of 36 challenging EKG's will follow, simply looking to see if you can go up against the self-proclaimed "hardest ECG test on the internet," with your one goal being to simply state "STEMI/OMI or no STEMI/OMI."
